Es mi primer Seiko.

Lo primero que tengo que decir es que las fotos se quedan cortas para mostrar lo espectacular que es el reloj.

En lo particular el reloj puede que tenga varias funciones que nunca utilizaré (Las funciones de Yate) pero el solo verlas hace único el reloj y llama la atención de todos.

Lo único que no me gusto es la caja en que viene el reloj, se queda corta para lo bueno que es. Además al compararlo con un Tissot la caja se ve Fea.

Para resumir: ESPECTACULAR!!! y a un súper precio!!

SEIKO 5 - the meaning of the "5" A great marketer had the idea in the 70ies: to be a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the following 5 (five) attributes (thus the name SEIKO 5): 1. Automatic, 2. Water resistant, 3. Shock resistant, 4. Date, 5. Day. Please note that some SEIKO 5's are in fact SEIKO 4's, if the "Day" function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 is used. The only difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of the day wheel. Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels as opposed to the 21 Jewels in the 7S26. Please note that all these movements beat at a rate of 21'600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second). As a comparison, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28'800 bph or 8 bps. The Seiko Men's Kinetic Watch #SKA192 is a Stunning Timepiece. It not only keeps great time, it looks great as well. Once I recieved the watch (whitch arrived sooner than I had expected)I could not believe my eye's. The #SKA192 is much more beautiful in person than the picture listed on Amazon. I have many watches but this one has become one of my favorites. Once this watch is fully charged it can be put away and still keep near perfect time for up to six months. Unlike other automatics this watch has a power reserve. Before I wore mine it needed to be wound and this was by holding the watch in my hand and moving it side to side until the second hand ran in one second intervals. The second hand will run in two second intervals if the power reserve is low. All the instructions and warranty come with the watch. I would advise reading the instructions before wearing the watch. All in all I am VERY PLEASED with my Seiko Kinetic watch #SKA192. A heck of a deal and money well spent.

This bold and contemporary-looking men’s kinetic watch is powered by the natural movements of your wrist, meaning you’ll never need to change a battery. It has a six-month power reserve capacitor, so that even if you leave it on the shelf for six months, it will continue to keep accurate time. A power reserve indicator shows how much reserve power is left. When the reserve drops to less than 24 hours, the second hand will warn you by shifting to two-second increments. This particular watch has a gray dial set in a bezel of brushed stainless steel with gold-toned accents. It features three-hand function with Lumibrite hands and markers, and a date window at the three o’clock position. It also has a scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal and a screw-down caseback. Kinetic: A powerhouse in technological innovation

Like mechanical and quartz, Kinetic is a platform. Over the past 20 years, SEIKO has created on this platform a suite of Kinetic movements, each bringing unique features to the consumer.

It was at the 1986 Basel Fair that SEIKO unveiled its first Kinetic prototype. This is a great watch even if you pay near the retail price. I found one on Amazon WO/ a box or instructions from Toydream at USD. Well worth it considering a PDF is free from Seiko.

OK, about the watch, the only reason it is a 4 not a 5 is the sub dial numerals are a little small to read for local time and the zones are not clear for which city they correspond to on the bezel. The lumibrite is great, easy to read hours after exposure to light especially with a little ambient light in background. It is thin making it easy to wear with dress shirts and has a expensive look. Overall very nicely done

I couldn't be more pleased. Very accurate and I can't tell you how many times I've banged this against sharp metal corners. It seems the more I try to avoid them the more I hit them. I would look down at the watch and see what looks like a long scratch but it turns out to be just the white paint from the metal railing I keep hitting it against. Rubs right off the glass without a hint of an actual scratch. I've also received a lot of compliments on the looks.

It's a quality watch with some nice features. Here are a few things I found out after I received it. The "regular" second hand only moves when using the stopwatch. The real second hand is the little one by the 9. The alarm setting/usage is a little more complex then I would like as I probably won't have the manual with me when I want to use it. It's a little larger diameter and thicker then I would have hoped for (but I don't have very large wrists).

I've owned this watch for over a year and I can say without doubt this is the best looking, most reliable and accurate watch I have ever owned (I have owned a fair few watches in my time!). It is perfect for everyday or dress use.

The band does take a little getting used to, but it is very adjustable and comfortable (Once you find the right hole in the strap that suits the size of your wrist).

I've worn this watch daily in all weather and the leather strap is holding up well. It shows some signs of wear but no signs of breaking, I trust it to keep the watch on my wrist 100%

My only complaint would be that the hands do not glow in the dark, so trying to tell the time at night can be slightly annoying, however this is a minor complaint.

Overall I am extremely happy with this watch.

I have owned this watch for the past several years and cannot say enough good about it. Its apperance is super and its accuracy it beyond belief (within one to two seconds over a month). I am accustomed to large watchs (I have an Omega Seamaster from the 70's that I used for over 25 years) so its size is exactly right as far as I am concerned. I admit that now that I dive a computer I no longer need my watch underwater; however, I am not comfortable wearing any other type of watch.

It seems to me to be the perfect all round watch.

SEIKO 5 - the meaning of the "5" A great marketer had the idea in the 70ies: to be a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the following 5 (five) attributes (thus the name SEIKO 5): 1. Automatic, 2. Water resistant, 3. Shock resistant, 4. Date, 5. Day. Please note that some SEIKO 5's are in fact SEIKO 4's, if the "Day" function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 is used. Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels as opposed to the 21 Jewels in the 7S26. Please note that all these movements beat at a rate of 21'600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second). As a comparison, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28'800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21'600 bph. Why do I mention these three movements? Because they are found in probably 80% of all inexpensive automatic wrist watches. A market share that is huge, yet challenged these days (2006) by an increasing share of inexpensive China Made automatic movements. An automatic watch (also called a self-winding watch) is a mechanical watch, typically with a balance wheel escapement, whose mainspring is wound by the motion of the wearer's arm, instead of having to be wound manually every day. Whereas a quartz watch is powered by electricity, a mechanical watch is powered by a mainspring which must be rewound for the watch to keep time

The watch is very nice for fine mix between sporty and dressy.
This is my 2nd seiko watch. I bought another seiko because of the quality at a great price.
I already smacked this watch into a sharp edge and the face did not scratch, but I got a little scratch on the bezel, but no big deal.
The watch is beautiful except for 1 thing.
the hands and second and third inner faces are very reflective. You cant tell from the picture, but in real life, it hard to read the time sometimes, unless you move your hand a half inch in a different direction. It also gives the face a cheaper look.
But its still really nice. I'm torn, but I think I'm gonna keep it.
P.s. It also doesnt fit my hand very well. its either too loose or too tight. The only way to make adjustments is by taking out or putting in a link. Some watches have xtra small connections in the clasp but this is a double snap clasp, and has no option for that.

I'm a watch collector and I had been looking at the Seiko Sportura collection for quite a while...really fell in love with this one because of it's looks but also because it's kinetic. It's worked flawlessly so far(had it for a little over a month)and I've had no problem with it running out of battery charge...I wear it once a week and it's been just fine. The leather strap is well made and it fits very comfortably on my wrist. It's one of my favorite watches right now and I expect to have it for a very long time. I'd definitely recommend this watch to anyone...great timepiece.

SEIKO 5 - the meaning of the "5" A great marketer had the idea in the 70ies: to be a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the following 5 (five) attributes (thus the name SEIKO 5): 1. Automatic, 2. Water resistant, 3. Shock resistant, 4. Date, 5. Day. Please note that some SEIKO 5's are in fact SEIKO 4's, if the "Day" function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 is used. The only difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of the day wheel. Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels as opposed to the 21 Jewels in the 7S26. Please note that all these movements beat at a rate of 21'600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second). As a comparison, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28'800 bph or 8 bps. I'm somewhat hesitant to order anything over the internet. All the stories you hear regarding identity and credit card theft have me a bit intimidated. I'm on the far side of youth and tech-literacy, so what would normally be intuitive to most, is somewhat foreign to me.
So, with that as background, I decided to give it a try; only because I'm familiar with the name of Amazon.com and feel they have a good enough reputation that I feel I can trust them.
I'm glad I did. I received guidance and notification each step of the way from both Amazon.com and Mall of USA. As a result of this experience, my concerns diminished substantially.
I received the watch well within the time indicated, and it was in perfect shape.
It was exactly what it appeared to be in the photo, and, with the instruction manual, the functions were easy to understand.
I've had Seiko watches before, so I know they are a very good product. This watch was listed at about three times what I was charged, so the value of my purchase was more than satisfactory.
All-in-all, I had a very good experience with my purchase. I'll not be afraid to make another.

If you want to know more about this watch, google Seiko Land Shark, this is the watches' nickname...

First off - this model # DOES NOT have a black face as listed, both the bezel and face are a shade of very dark blue.

Wearability: HEAVY. Most sites list it at 170+ grams [~6 ounces]. Takes a little getting used to but after a day or 2 it felt very natural. Thickness also substantial. If you're an everyday long sleeve dress shirt wearer, this watch may be a bit tall for the cuff. Otherwise, the profile is strong and has a nice look on the wrist, rugged and casual. Case diam: 42mm, 50mm including the crown.

Band: Stainless and a nice fit, links wrap well without feeling awkward. I have a large wrist for a man and removed 2 full links [done at a jeweler , <20 bucks]. Fits up to an 8" wrist. Band has an overlapping lock clasp with safety buttons, virtually impossible to come off accidentally. The only band I have enjoyed more is on my Omega Seamaster; I think the band is just as substantial as the Rolex Submariner.

Functions: Day/date adjusted by the 2 position right side crown. Left crown is actually a bi-directional dial that allows you to rotate an inner bezel to set it as an static directional compass. If you know how to find NORTH by the sun using a watch, it's a nice little feature for hiking. It also has the standard dive time outer rotating bezel.

Diving: The instruction manual states this watch should not be worn when using helium for diving. If you want a true diving watch, stick with the high end brands with a helium release crown. But for sailing, boating, swimming, etc, this is a great option.

Quality: I am not one to speak on quartz v. automatic [this one is an auto], but the quality is substantial at a fairly low price point. The face finish is tight, dial is easy to read [luminescent hands, numbers, and hashes, easy to see in the dark]. Overall it looks like a watch closer to 500 than 200 bucks. The watch comes with a 1 yr international and 3 yr U.S. warranty. Seiko stands behind its work.

I rated this watch 5 stars because for 200 bucks, I don't think there is a better everyday lower end casual metal band watch out there. I bought this watch as my "beater" casual watch and couldn't be more satisfied.
I actually like it so much that I have taken as much care not to damage it as my other watches that are much more valuable.

This model also comes in black, white, and the blue face, although I don't know if Amazon sells all 3. If you want the black face, you'll know it because the it has yellow hands...

I recently received this watch as a gift and the giver wanted it to "last for years." From what I can tell, this watch will do just that. I've already worn it in a steamroom, swimming pool, and hot tub and the watch has endured my lackluster carpentry skills without a scratch or any signs of incorrect timekeeping. In fact, from the day I set it until now (three weeks later), the watch is still perfectly synchronized with the atomic clock time from the Internet. The sapphire face is awesome -- it gives all the dials a rotating shimmer when viewd from certain angles which looks really cool. I find the stopwatch incredibly easy to use and the alarm is pretty simple , as well, though you may need to review the instructions the first few times. The alarm is loud enough to wake me from sleep with no problem. The only drawback I've found is with setting the alarm. You pull the knob "one click" to set it and "two clicks" to synchronize the alarm dial with the real time. Sometimes, I inadvertently pull the knob out too far when trying to set the alarm and instead I mess up the time shown on the alarm dial (and concurrently fail to make the alarm go off). However, I'm getting used to it after only a few short weeks. The pictures don't do the watch justice -- the black metal is shiny (kind of like smooth black marble would be) and the band is the most comfortable I've ever had. It doesn't even feel like it's on.

In all, I'm so glad I got this watch! It's the best I've ever owned and one of the few analog watches (which look much more classy than digital) that offer both a stopwatch and an alarm.

First of all, none of the generic pictures you see online for this watch do this watch justice. All of the black/grey metal you see in the picture here on amazon is actually a shiny/reflective black/you-can't-even-really-tell-what-color. This watch looks much much better in real life than in any pictures you'll see online.

Cons:
1) Easily catches fingerprints so I'm always rubbing it with my shirt to return it to its original shine.
2) Maybe it's just me, but after a year of having this watch, most of the bands especially on the ones facing out have gotten many scratches and therefore have kinda lost that shine I was talking about. I haven't tried this myself, but I was told by a clerk at a watch/jewelery store that you can actually order additional bands from Seiko to replace those scracthed ones which is what I think I will do.
3) Due to these things, this watch requires a lot of babying, but babying well worth it in my opinion.

Conclusion: If you're looking for a really stunning watch, look no further. This watch actually looks 10x better in real life since you can actually see the shine, and I'm always receiving compliments on this watch which is of course a good thing ;)

It actually ended up being smaller than I was thinking, but that did not deter how I ended up feeling about it. It is titanium and a little heavier than stainless steel. There's a glare but I don't think it's annoying or distracting. The darkness of the watch is what really appeals to me and it's smoky black goodness. It's really a handsome looking thing in person and am extremely glad I bought it.

I've had this watch for over a year now and I have to say that it's been the best watch I've owned. It's NOT titanium metal but titanium in color as somebody pointed out to me, which makes sense. It's been through thick and thin with me as I wear it almost constantly. I'd have to say the only problems I've had with it, if you can call them problems, is it leaves a black residue all over my wrist when I go running and sweat a lot. Really that's my own fault for wearing a dress watch while running. The other problem I notice is that the day ticker has to be tinkered with every other month because it will always count to 31 and since not all months have 31 days in them, it's rather confusing sometimes at the end of each month. It's stayed accurate though and I'm always getting compliments on it.

I first became acquainted with Seiko watches when serving in Vietnam in the late '60s - The px's were full of them and it seemed that the majority of GI's had one on their wrist. My favorable impression has lasted over 40 years and this watch enhances my impressions of Seiko products. This watch provides innovative quality, with an appealing look (not pretentious, but an appearance that is substantial) at a good price for value rec'd. I have had it almost a month and have nothing but positive feelings about it as regards accuracy and wearability.
I do have one question as regards it's pricing. I did not buy this via Amazon, but from a local jeweler with whom I have dealt with for many years. His listed price was the 5, suggested retail price. He provided a 15% discount, which struck me as fair. Upon checking this Amazon posting and finding that it can be bought for 3, I was somewhat taken aback. How can this be? I doubt that my jeweler friend could purchase this watch for that price. Does anyone have input on how this could be priced at less than 50% of suggested retail? As a business man myself, now retired, I am not unhappy with my purchase, as I feel I have rec'd a good product at a price that struck me as proper and I have supported a local small business, which I feel is important, but wondered about how Amazon's price could be so low.

Seiko Men's Leather Watch #SNT003 Review

This is a nice watch. It's a good mix of sporty and dressy. I like the retro look to the face; the hour markings and day/24 hr dials look sophisticated but aren't tacky. It's one of a very few watches I found on Amazon that I thought were simple and classy. Also, it's not too thick or heavy. I'd estimate that the case is about 10 mm thick, and it feels fairly light on my arm.

My big gripe is that this watch is NOT water-resistant. I don't know how the seller gets away with the "WR to a depth of 99 meters" nonsense. The back of the watch says that it's "3 Bar" water resistant, which according to the instruction manual means it will tolerate "accidental splashes of rain or water." If Timex can make a submergible watch for , Seiko should be able to do it for 0+. I know this isn't a luxury or diver's watch, but still, there's no excuse for a watch this pricey not to be able to withstand a quick shower or dip in the pool.

After a few months of debate I bought this watch. I wanted a watch that would last for decades, this one can. I wanted a watch that a man's watch- not a metro-sexual watch, no trends, fads, or gimmicks, just a great classic watch that will hold up by form and function for decades. This watch is that watch. It also is at a great price for the benefits and attributes in this category.
I have always liked colored faced watches,(my last watches were white and yellow faces). So this watch was the choice over the black faced Seiko.
Like many reveiws I read, I was concerned before my purchase about the automatic aspect of this watch- coming from battery watch before. But it, because I wound it properly, keeps great time; +4 secs per day. That's only 28 secs. per week and 2 minutes per month. Now I just place the watch 1 minute behind real time each month and then it is only off +/- 1 minute at most each month, not a problem at all.
Also, the 3 year warranty is great peace of mind- many cars don't have one this long.
This is a great watch and really glad I have it. I look forward to having this watch for many years and hopefully a few decades.

I was skeptical of purchasing a watch without trying it on for size, but took the risk after reviewing measurements and comparing similar watches. This watch has met my expectations:
- It has a nice weight to it (fairly hefty)
- The black color is not too glossy.
- The hands and dial indicators glow in the dark.
- It doesn't need batteries. Although after 45 days of frequent wearing, I haven't gotten up to a "full" charge per the indicator.
- The clasp is robust. Although the black finish on the clasp already shows some signs of wear (minor scratching).
- The outside bezel does rotate so you can move around the red section.
- It's pretty cool that you can see (and feel) the self winding mechanism.
- Excellent value for 7.
